Job Summary:

Driver Supervisors will communicate and work together with each other and Dispatchers to ensure the entire transportation service area operates smoothly. This includes scheduling trips through our software system to develop efficient and reasonable Driver manifests, managing Driver requests for time off, and directs/assists Drivers and clients during incidents, crashes, and irregular operations. Coordinates with Senior Driver Trainers, Training Coordinator, and Senior Compliance and Driver Manager to ensure that our driver workforce is safe and that performing in accordance with all BGCAP Transit policies and procedures. Compiles coaching documentation from ride-along evaluations. Ensures and supports safe road operations during all hours Agency has fleet on the road by monitoring, coaching, supporting, and counseling drivers in real-time per Agency policy and procedures.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Respect to diversity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Pass criminal background check and alcohol/drug screening.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Valid Kentucky Driver’s License
  • Provide proof of insurance

MIGRANT HEAD START TEACHERS
JESSAMINE AND WOODFORD COUNTIES

The Blue Grass Head Start Program is accepting applications for the position of Migrant Head Start Teacher in Jessamine and Woodford Counties. Starting pay is $12.50 with a CDA or $12.00 without a CDA. The CDA can be obtained within one year of being hired. These positions will be 40 hours per week. Individuals applying for these positions must possess a valid Kentucky Driver’s license. Applicant is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and it is preferred that the applicant be bilingual (English/Spanish). SITE SUPERVISOR
Anderson County Head Start
The Blue Grass Head Start Program is accepting applications for the position of Site Supervisor in Anderson County. This position will be 40 hours per week. Requirements for this position are:
  • AA, BA, or Advanced Degree in Early Childhood Education or Development or a degree in a related field and experience in teaching Preschool children.
  • Ability to communicate with Head Start Parents and coordinate services for Head Start parents and children.
  • Valid Kentucky Driver’s License and have a good driving record for five years and have reliable transportation.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid training upon hire as required (905 KAR 2:101). Training will be provided by the Agency.
  • Must have six (6) hours of required State approved training within three (3) months and a minimum of fifteen (15) additional hours of training each calendar year.

Starting pay will be as follows:

  • AA Degree - $17.10 per hour
  • BA Degree - $18.10 per hour
  • MA Degree - $19.10 per hour

Lead Teacher

Senior Companion Program-Volunteers The Senior Companion Program is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $3.00 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps.
